Click: Create New > Create a New Page or go to: Publish > Pages > Add a New Page.
Page Name
This will be listed in the page title after your URL as www.[domain].org/page-name.
Description
This will not display on the public page, but it will be added to the code to help search engines find your content. When creating a description, use words that people might be looking for (such as your location).
URL Address
If you want a shorter or different version of the page name to display in the browser URL, then you are able to edit that here. However, be sure that there is not another page in the CMS already using this shorter URL. This might be helpful for marketing purposes if the sermons page is called “Recent Messages” and you wanted to tell people to go to www.website.org/sermons to listen to the sermons.
Tags
Think of tags as keywords that people are searching for. Use words that you know people will actually be typing into a search engine, as they look for your content. These tags will not display on the public page, but they will be added into the code to assist in your search engine optimization. Whatever tags you add will be available in every module under “Show All Tags”.
Content
Write rich, helpful content for your website visitors and for search engines. Once your text content has been added, you may style it as bold, italic, left/center/right justify, along with ordered lists, unordered lists, and block quotes. You may select text (or an image) and click the link tool to add a link to emails, other pages, blog posts, events, files, or feeds. Need to add an image or video? Simply click the folder icon and either select from the files that have been uploaded, upload an image/video, or embed a video. You also have paragraph font options under the “Heading” drop-down menu. To get a preview of these font options, go to your styles page at www.[domain].org/styles
Header Image
Each of our websites has the option to add a header image to each page that is a certain pixel size. If you do not know what the correct pixel dimensions are for the header image, please contact our support team for that information.
Publish/Draft
Publishing the page will make it live for anyone to see. Drafting a page will save it inside the CMS and will not be available for viewing on the live website. Once a page is published, it lives at a URL that matches the page title. You do not need to add the page into the navigation for it to be available.
