Step 3) Verify Your Website

Google Play requires you to verify your website.


1) From within the Google Play console, click Home in the left sidebar. You may see a notice like this. If so, click the blue "View details" button.


3) Click "Go to Search Console"

4) Click "Start now"

5) On the screen that appears, click the dropdown arrow at the top left.



6) Click "+ Add property"



7) Select the "URL prefix" option on the right. Then, enter your domain in the following format. Be sure to include: https://www



8) Click "Continue"


9) A popup box will appear for a few seconds, saying it's checking your verification.


10) A new window will appear, asking you to download a file. Click that box, download the file, and email the file to [email protected].



11) Click "Done"

12) We'll upload the file to the server, and it will be viewable at your domain in this format: https://www.yourdomain.com/google###############.html. We'll notify you once this is done.


13) Once we notify you that step 12 is done, you'll need to go to the Google Search Console at https://search.google.com/search-console.


14) You should see the following message:



15) If you see this, you are verified, and everything is complete. Please notify us by replying to the open ticket you have in our help center.


Most customers will be able to stop here. If you do not see the "ownership auto verified" message in step 14, then continue to step 16.


16) If you don't see the message in step 14, click "Settings" on the left sidebar.



17) Click "ownership verification"



18) Complete verification by clicking Verify in the verification details page. Once you're verified, the page will look like this:



19) If you see this, you are verified, and everything is complete. Please notify us by replying to the open ticket you have in our help center.


In some cases, after going through all of these steps, your Google Play dashboard will still show this message:

This can happen if your Google Search Console account is under a different email than your Google Play developer account. If this happens, continue to step 20.


20) Go to the Google Search Console.

21) Click the bell icon at the upper right:

22) Your inbox will slide out from the right side, and you should see a message like this:


23) Click on it to open the message, and you'll see a message like this:

24) Click the blue button:

25) You'll see a screen like this. Click the approve button:


26) The screen will reload, and you'll see a screen like this, confirming that the accounts are linked:


27) Go back to the Google Play console and refresh, and the banner requesting you to verify your organization's website will be gone.

28) If this is the case, then you are verified, and everything is complete. Please notify us by replying to the open ticket you have in our help center.
